Health data

Pulseboard shows “No data”. How do I fix it?

Pulseboard can only show what you allow it to read from Apple Health:

  1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Pulseboard.
  2. Tap Change Access, then Select All → Continue.
  3. Choose All Recorded Data and Future Data, then Done.

Some metrics also need a device that records them — for example Body Fat needs a smart scale, and Heart Rate Variability needs an Apple Watch.

My 3-, 6- and 12-month numbers look too low.

You probably chose “Past 30 Days and Future Data” when sharing. Follow the steps above and pick All Recorded Data and Future Data. Pulseboard shows a banner on the dashboard while history is limited.

Can I try Pulseboard without an Apple Watch?

Yes. Your iPhone records steps, distance and flights on its own. You can also turn on Show sample data (About → Show sample data) to explore with a year of made-up numbers — nothing is written to Apple Health.

Does my data leave my iPhone?

No. Pulseboard has no account, no server, no cloud sync, no analytics and no ads. It reads Apple Health on your iPhone and calculates everything there. See the Privacy Policy.

How are averages calculated?

For things that add up (steps, calories), “Daily Avg” is the total divided by days with data — or by every day for workouts and exercise, where an empty day really is zero. Weekly and monthly averages are the daily average × 7 and × 30.4. For readings (heart rate, weight) Pulseboard averages every reading in the period.

Dashboard, goals & widgets

How do I add, edit or reorder cards?

Tap + to add a card. Long-press a card to edit, duplicate, change its style or remove it. Use ••• → Arrange Cards to drag them into a new order.

When do goal check-ins arrive?

Once a day, after 7 am, about the previous day. iOS decides exactly when apps may run in the background, so on some days the check-in arrives when you first unlock your iPhone. Make sure notifications are on in Settings → Notifications → Pulseboard.

How do I add a widget?

Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, and choose Pulseboard. “Health Metric” shows one number; “Health Stack” shows several of your cards. Long-press a widget and tap Edit Widget to choose what it shows.

Why does a widget show an older value?

iOS locks Health data while your iPhone is locked, so widgets show the last value they could read and refresh once you unlock.

Subscription

How much does Pulseboard cost?

Pulseboard includes a free trial, then a low yearly subscription. The exact price in your currency is shown in the app and on the App Store before you subscribe.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Pulseboard, or in the app go to About → Manage Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged.

I got a new iPhone. How do I restore my subscription?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Pulseboard and tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in About.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
